Katy & David's Dreamy + Unique St Mawes Wedding

Italian inspired gardens, a boat trip reception + sunset goals

This wedding day was such a treat for me to photograph. The September sun shone all day long and it was just magical. With a mixture of venues and locations, it really felt as though we were abroad, exploring the St Mawes coastline, Lammoran Gardens + Fal Estuary on a boat which was decorated with a Just Married Banner - obsessed!

After a beautiful bridal prep + groom prep we headed up to Lamorran gardens, St Mawes for a very special ceremony. These gardens are nestled in the hills and they were full of greenery and gorgeousness, Katy & David definitely said I Do with a view followed by a little drinks reception and the most confetti I think I have ever photographed. All the florals and garden surroundings was every photographers dream, it make my job SO easy with the most picturesque setting for a ceremony.

After the ceremony we headed into the town of St Mawes, starting by the castle monument and walking the quaint streets with a little stop off at the beach/waterfront of course.

This was the perfect chance to get those romantic, dreamy newlywed photographs. The blue sky, the waterfront and little cute Cornish houses was the perfect backdrop for some super special photographs. Getting these most special photographs is always my most favourite part of the day, it's my chance to get creative and capture the photos you've dreamed of on your wedding day.

Then there was the BOAT RIDE - yes the most epic wedding reception EVER out on a boat!

There was pasties, prosecco and cream teas - perfection! The river cruise by Fal River was just amazing, pausing half way for speeches and soaking in the gorgeous Cornish views.

The bride and groom were even given the opportunity to take control and drive the boat with all of their 65 guests aboard - so fun! There was luckily no sea sickness ( yes, i did buy a travel motion sickness wristband a couple of days before just incase lols ) but I loved every single second, definitely the most unique wedding reception I've been a part of.

The most beautiful sunset.

And to top of the best day, we ventured out of the valley of St Mawes to the hills at the top to see if the sun was setting, and we caught it at exactly the right time.

We took some epic golden photos and then watched the sun disappear over the horizon and it was a magical moment and the perfect setting for some romantic and fun photographs.

Pre-wedding Photoshoot at a stormy Godrevy beach

As soon as I met Katy + David, I felt as though we had known each other a long time, which is just the best. We headed down to Godrevy Beach in the evening and the weather has just been so awful all day, but I am all about embracing the weather on your pre-shoot ( it's only half an hour so let's just go for it! ) and we got some amazing fun photographs
